Legendary Power and Performance
There’s no mistaking the muscle and power that comes from Ram’s legendary HEMI® 5.7L V8 engine. When equipped with this engine you’ll have access to 395 horsepower, 410 lb.-ft. of torque, and 11,330-lb. maximum towing capacity*. Thanks to eTorque hybrid technology there’s a balance of performance and efficiency, especially when combined with Fuel Saver Technology (cylinder deactivation). The key to the eTorque hybrid is a 430-watt lithium-ion battery that’s strategically located in a special noise-insulated enclosure. This allows for added power without causing additional noise to disrupt the cabin experience. Start the ignition and hear the classic sound of the HEMI® V8 roar to life, ready to take you along your commute in Orlando or across the country.
Bringing Back the HEMI® V8
If you’re wondering where the HEMI® V8 went or why it’s making a return, we’ve got you covered. Ram decided to discontinue the HEMI® V8 option for 2025 replacing it with 6-cylinder Hurricane Engine options. This sparked significant complaints from customers throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Ram took the feedback seriously and decided to bring the V8 engine back for select trims with the 2026 iteration of the Ram 1500, along with the 6-cylinder Hurricane and traditional V6 option. As an added bonus, all HEMI-powered 2026 Ram 1500 vehicles will feature a bold Symbol of Protest badge placed on the fender.
Trim Levels and Availability
Keeping with the goal of providing pickup truck shoppers with as many options as possible, the HEMI® powertrain will be available for 2026 Ram 1500 Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Limited, and Longhorn trims.
